Mail must be ten pages or less per envelope, no larger than 8.5 by 11 inches. It may include written or typed pages, photos, drawings, or greeting cards, but not Polaroids. Glitter, glue, tape, 3D elements, electronic cards, explicit content, gang content, illegal activity, violence, drug or alcohol content, nude photos, contraband, packages, and important originals are not allowed. Approved Pay Tel Connect photos cost $0.25 each to the sender.

Commissary and Medical Care

Jones County commissary is provided through Oasis Management Systems, Inc. Inmates may buy weekly approved snacks, hygiene items, and other jail-approved items. Outside items are not accepted. Family may drop off money orders payable to Jones County Jail at the jail Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, or mail a money order to Jones County Detention Center, C/O the inmate name, 101 S Market St, Trenton, NC 28585. The inmate name must appear on the envelope and money order.

Southern Health Partners provides medical care. A contract nurse visits the jail 20 hours per week, and an on-call nurse gives detention officers care instructions at other times. Officers cannot discuss medical conditions or treatments with family because of HIPAA.
