Why We Built This Site
North Carolina gives the public broad access to many court records, but Jones County uses a statewide court system rather than a separate county-created court system. The Clerk of Superior Court handles local court files, paper records, public terminals, copies, judgments, estates, and probate hearings. The Register of Deeds handles marriage licenses, certified local marriage copies, vital records, land records, plats, notaries, and assumed names. The Sheriff's Office and Detention Center handle jail custody information, while state systems cover eCourts case lookup, court dates, traffic payments, and prison, probation, or parole searches.
